So today I'm sharing a very desi, very ubiquitous recipe that's made all over Pakistan - Aloo Keema. A staple Pakistani meal, aloo keema is made using minced meat (aka keema) and potatoes in a dry gravy. It can be served with roti or rice. Not plain keema or matar keema or piyaaz keema.
Instructions to make Aloo Qeema:
- Heat the oil
- Add slices onions fry until translucent not golden
- Add ginger and garlic chop or Paste fry few minutes
- Add shan Qeema MASALA mix it
- Add Beef qeema
- Add slice tomatoes mix it
- Then add 2 to 3 glass of water on medium to low flame
- Covere and cook until mince is tender
- Remove the lid and stir continuesly until oil spreads around the edges
- Add chopped green Chilli mix
- Add potatoes (optional)
- Add all spice powder
- Then add water if you use potatoes to cook otherwise no need for water
- Covered until potatoes are cooked
- Potatoes are soft and oil is spread around the edges
- Add coriandar leaves
- Ready to eat serve with nan
It can be served with roti or rice. Not plain keema or matar keema or piyaaz keema. Keema aloo is a happy coming together of mutton or lamb mince, cubed potatoes and of course onions and tomatoes. Made in the instant pot or stovetop, it is a one-pot dish that's easy to make. Heavenly when eaten with roti or rice!
